How to Use the Google Map Area Calculator

1 Select a Drawing Tool

Choose from the toolbar at the top center of the map. Tools include:

• Rectangle (for square/rectangular areas)
• Circle (for radius-based measurements)
• Polygon (for irregular shapes)
• Line (for distance measurement)

2 Draw on the Map

Click or drag to create your shape. The Google Map area calculator will instantly calc area and display it in square meters (default).

3 Customize Units

Change units from the dropdown: square feet, square meter, acres (ideal for acreage calculator use), hectares, square kilometers, square miles, etc.

4 Advanced Features

• Add multiple shapes: Total area updates automatically.
• Overlap shapes: Use the minus (-) to subtract overlapping areas, plus (+) to combine shapes.
